English/DCD Social Media Intern

In my current position as the Social Media Intern for both the Department of Digital Culture and Design and the Department of English at Coastal Carolina University, I am in charge of creating informational content for each department's Instagram and Facebook accounts. In my role, I use Adobe Creative Cloud tools and Canva to develop eye-catching carousels, reels, and story posts to keep current students, faculty and staff, and alumni up-to-date about exemplary work from students and professors, upcoming events, and exciting announcements, while also recapping prior affairs.

Coastal Carolina Women's Soccer Social Media Manager

Coastal Carolina University

As the Coastal Carolina University Women's Soccer Social Media Manager, I was tasked with imagining and creating entertaining and unique content for distribution on Instagram and TikTok. In this role, I have learned to analyze trends and social media metrics to create captivating content for my target audience. In the three months that I have had this title, I have created posts in collaboration with the primary NCAA Instagram account and had 2 of 3 TikToks I created go viral, one of which currently stands at 8.1 million views. In addition, since I began running the social media accounts our Instagram following has increased from ~6,500 to ~6,700 and our TikTok following has increased from ~1,500 to ~11,900.

Graphic Design Intern

While working as the graphic design intern for both Louisville City F.C. and Racing Louisville F.C., I aided in the creation of promotional gameday and charity event content. I utilized Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom to create unique graphics for use on social media platforms, in direct marketing campaigns via email, and on the organization's website. Ultimately, in this position, I gained an in-depth understanding of color theory, contrast, visual hierarchy, typography, positive and negative space, etc., and learned to adapt and adhere to the goals and specific design requests of my clients.

As a market partner for Monat Global, I worked remotely to market various skincare and wellness products, acquire new customers, and maximize sales profits. In this role, I utilized social media platforms to advertise to a primary target market of young women and recruit new customers. As a market partner, I developed skills in virtual and graphic design, social media marketing, as well as advertising strategies.
